  This church is a blessing to the community and families of Burke County. The church began in the 1800’s as a METHODIST church organized by some of the oldest families in the area. Sometime in the 1970’s the church was taken from the community by a business called the United Methodist church. They must be a business because On January 31, 2019 this business organization closed and locked the doors of this Christian establishment and now seeks to gain money from the sale of this property for their own business profit. The hard working blue collar people who founded this church are now heartbroken and feel betrayed. Is this any way to treat Christians? I myself am not a member but my family and ancestors from as far back as the 1800’s have supported and cherished this small community church. It is s place of worship and not a business. I’m praying that Christians will band together to prevent this organization from keeping the people who worship at this church from doing so.
  Forever greatful for any help in this urgent matter.
